PON Codes are the easiest way to share Destinations, Events, Addresses or Points Of Interest (POI) in Ireland;- instead of using cumbersome Latitudes and Longitudes, Grid References or long winded addresses. PON Codes consist of 7 alphanumeric characters which define position to an accuracy better than half the size of the centre circle of a soccer pitch. They also eliminate the problems (spellings/language etc) associated with entering addresses in SatNav's or giving detailed directions. PON Codes can save up to 20% in fuel costs for multidrop vehicles [couriers, food & furniture deliveries, taxi's etc]
